The vapor compression refrigeration trainer is designed to analyze performance of Vapor Compression Refrigeration Cycle. The trainer consists of a hermetically sealed compressor, air cooled condenser, expansion device & coiled evaporator. The evaporator coil is immersed in a water tank fitted with electric heater. The heater load is controlled by a dimmer. CFC Free refrigerant R134a is used in the trainer.
The measuring instruments are provided to measure Temperature & pressure of refrigerant cycle, Refrigerant Flow, Power Supplied to compressor & Heater Load.

Re-Circulating Air Conditioning Trainer

Re-Circulating Air Conditioning Trainer

The re-circulating air conditioning trainer is designed to study different air conditioning processes & performance analysis of refrigeration cycle in Air Conditioning. The trainer consists of an air conditioned chamber which houses the electric load bank. The heater load is controlled by a dimmer. There are three ducts, each for Fresh Air, Recirculated Air & Exhaust Air. Each duct is fitted with damper to control amount of air flowing through it. In order to study Humidification process a Steamer is also provided.
The refrigeration system consists of a hermetically sealed compressor, air cooled condenser, expansion device & finned tube evaporator. The evaporator coil is fitted inside the inlet duct. Refrigerant R-22 is used in the trainer.
The measuring instruments are provided to measure Temperature & pressure of refrigerant cycle, Refrigerant Flow, Power Supplied to compressor & Heater Load.

Ice Plant Trainer

DESCRIPTION:
The Ice Plant Trainer is designed to demonstrate ice manufacturing process & to analyze Refrigeration Cycle at low temperatures. The ice plant capacity is 10 Kg/day.
The trainer uses Hermetic Compressor, Air Cooled Condenser, Capillary Tube & coiled evaporator immersed in brine tank. Ice cans are placed in brine tank on a steel frame. Low speed stirrer is fitted to the brine tank to maintain uniform brine temperature. Brine tank is insulated & inner tank is made of stainless steel.
CFC free refrigerant R-134a is used in the system & is pre charged in the system.
Instruments to measure Cycle Pressure, Temperatures at different points, Power Consumption are fitted on Instrument panel. Flow of refrigerant is measured on Glass tube Rotameter fitted with calibrated scale. High & Low Pressure cutoff switch & thermostat are provided as safety devices.

• To draw refrigeration cycle on P-h Diagram & calculate enthalpy at different points.

Domestic Vapour Absorption System Trainer

DESCRIPTION:
The Vapor Absorption Refrigeration Trainer is designed to demonstrate working of Aqua-Ammonia Vapor Absorption Refrigeration Cycle & evaluate its performance.
The trainer uses packaged refrigerator having electrically heated Generator, Absorber, Condenser, Evaporator mounted in an insulated cabinet where refrigeration load can be applied. The refrigerator uses mixture of Water & Ammonia as refrigerant. Due to absence of mechanical compressor, the refrigerator is quite in operation.
Instruments to measure Temperatures at different points, Power Consumption, Heater Load are fitted on Instrument panel.

EXPERIMENTAL CAPABILITIES:
• To identify components of Vapor Absorption Refrigeration System.
• To plot the vapor absorption cycle on P-h Chart.
